Case Study 7: Make the most of marketing
The build up to the London 2012 Olympic
and Paralympic Games comprises 2 key
themes: success at the Games and increased
participation as a lasting legacy after the
Games. It is within the development of
participation as a lasting legacy that local
community sports clubs can be key to
increasing participation in sport, particularly
among young people.

Dogs, amongst them are two teams from Dunn
and Bradstreet who have used their employer
supported volunteering day to help.

Case Study 5: Working with the county's heritage
Chiltern Open Air Museum is located in the
heart of the Chiltern Hills near Chalfont
St Giles. The 45 acre site is home to over
30 historic buildings reflecting life in the
Chilterns over the past centuries.
Due to the nature of the site there are always
opportunities for groups of volunteers to
work on projects

at The Grange and Cressex Schools.
Garden Makeover: GE Healthcare’s (formerly Amersham plc) relationship with the Hospice of St Francis dates back to 2002 when the charity was the employee’s charity of the year.
